Reviews for Kung Fu Chinese Kitchen
Review highlights
Based on 625 reviewsKung Fu Chinese Kitchen in Lidcombe is generally praised for its flavorful and authentic Chinese dishes, particularly noodle soups, fried rice, and dumplings, which many find satisfying and well-prepared. The breakfast menu is noted as an affordable highlight, offering variety at budget-friendly prices. Customers appreciate the fast service and vibrant flavors, often highlighting the wok hei and rich broths. However, feedback on portion sizes and dining ware suggests room for improvement, as some find the serving plates inconveniently small. Service experiences appear mixed, with some reports of indifferent or brusque staff. Overall, the restaurant is valued for its tasty food and reasonable prices, though enhancing customer service and dining logistics could elevate the experience further.
Located on the upper floor of Lidcombe shopping centre. The restaurant is located in a corner block with seats extending outside into the shopping area. Very relaxing vibe. Came in the morning and was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast menu with all dishes less than $8.00 which was a bargain! All the noodle soups were tasty and delicious, full of beefy flavour. I felt that the noodles were a little overcooked which was a bit of a let down. Though they served a generous portion and for only of $8.00 you cannot complain! The dumplings were great too with a firm and chewy bite. Overall very fulfilling breakfast at an extremely affordable price.
This place has some great food for sure. We enjoyed the Malaysian style fried rice and also a spicy wonton noodle soup. Simple, very fast and most importantly, delicious. They only forgot to send the spring rolls order to the kitchen. But not a big deal.
Foods were pricy but good, but couldn't enjoy the food because this restaurant provides smallest tea plates to eat food. We were 5, need to refill from main plates at least 10 to 20 times, it's a wastage of our time. Owner need to come out of this culture, since people from different communities eat here, not just Asians.
Good Chinese food. Been here many times and the food is always tasty and well made. Favourites are the soup dumplings (xiao long bao), the stir fried flat rice noodles, and the fried mantou buns with condensed milk. Bonus points if you like getting cold and apathetic treatment from the staff, otherwise they can come off quite rude and uncaring.
Overall very pleased and would return. Fried rice had the right textures and wok hei aroma, braised pork was nice enough and the quail eggs even better as they retained a lovely creaminess, Lanzhou beef noodle soup was fantastic and I wish I could buy their broth to take home! Dumplings were nice and springy with a well flavoured pork and chive filling. Service friendly and you mainly help yourself. Handy location.
A great, authentic, and down-to-earth local eatery in Lidcombe Shopping Centre. They offer a wide variety of snacks, noodles, dumplings, and dishes to choose from. Prices are moderate, but the food is excellent value for money—flavorful and delicious. You place your order and pay at the counter, then return to your table and wait for the food to be served. Free drinking water and takeaway containers are also available. Personally, I really enjoy their signature pickled fish, stir-fried green beans, and braised pork belly—all exceptionally tasty. If you get a chance to visit, it’s definitely worth trying.
